A Japanese-style cast iron teapot in a sky-blue finish decorated with red goldfish, a traditional symbol of prosperity and good fortune. Cast iron holds heat far longer than ceramic or glass, so your tea stays hot through a second and third pour. Capacity 800ml — about 3–4 cups.

A practical everyday teapot and a long-lasting gift for tea lovers, ready to wrap.

  • Material: cast iron
  • Capacity: 800ml (3–4 cups)
  • Style: Japanese tetsubin-style teapot
  • Hand wash only

How to use

  • This teapot is for brewing and serving only. Do not heat it on a stove top, open flame, induction hob or in the microwave.
  • Boil water in a kettle, warm the pot with a little hot water first, then add loose tea and brew for 2–5 minutes.
  • To keep tea warm at the table, use a cast iron tealight warmer.

Care

  • Hand wash with warm water and a soft cloth only. No detergent, scourers or dishwasher.
  • Empty the pot after use and leave the lid off so it dries completely. This prevents rust.
  • Wipe the outside with a dry cloth. Small marks on hand-cast iron are normal.
